How do I set a start page
as my homepage?
You probably want to set your favorite start page as your home page so
that it'll be the first site page that appears when you log online.
Here's how:
Using Internet Explorer:
1. Make sure to do this in the window where the start page you want is
open.
2. While looking at your start page, select the "Tools" menuand click
"Internet Options"
3. Under the "General" tab you will see a box at the top where you can
enter a URL. Select "Use Current"
4. The URL of your start page should appear in the box. If it does not,
type the URL in.
5. Click "OK"
Using Firefox:
1. Make sure to do this in the window where the start page you
want is open. Make sure it is the only tab open in the browser.
2. Select the "Tools" menu and click "Options"
3. In the "Options" Window, select "General"
4. Click "Use Current Page". If the button says 'pages' instead of
'page' you have other tabs open! Go back to step one, making sure your
start page is the only tab open.
5. Click "OK"
Using Safari:
1. Make sure to do this in the window where the start page you
want is open.
2. Select the "Safari" from the menu bar and click "Preferences..."
3. Select the "General" tab.
4. Click "Set to Current Page"
Using Netscape:
1. Select the "Edit" menu and click "Preferences"
2. Select "Navigator" from the category list
3. Type the URL of you homepage in. It will be in the form of
http://hp.nichehosts.com/page.html (replace page with the name of the
page you're using)
4. Click "OK"
Using Opera:
1. Click on the "Navigation" menu and select "Set Home"
2. In the "Global Home Page" field, type the URL
3. Click "OK"
4. Upon exiting Opera, select the "Save Windows" checkbox
5. Upton launching Opera,click on "Home" in the toolbar
